This
page is an expression of my views political or otherwise. For those that wonder
about the meaning of the flags allow me explain:
The
American flag is my flag, it is the flag of my adopted country where
freedom still rings today as long as we are able to defend it. Lately I have
been wondering how much longer we'll be free.
The first flag on the left is the
Cuban flag, the country where my mother
and I were born. The second flag is the
Netherlands
flag, my father was a
Dutchman. The third flag is the flag of
Venezuela, the country where I
grew up. The fourth flag is the
State of
Georgia flag where I have lived since
1954 after graduating from New York Military Academy.
I attended Georgia Tech for three and one half years until I had to go to Cuba
to try to salvage my inheritance, only to lose it all and get stuck in Cuba. I
finally left Cuba and arrived to Miami on September 22, 1959 broke and had to go
to work. The bottom flag is the
Vatican's flag, I am a
"cradle" Roman Catholic. Even though I love all those flags, countries, and states, I
am first and foremost a proud naturalized
American citizen,the
best and happiest,
nothing else. I thank God I live in the best country in the world bar none. I
will use the Opinion page to express what I think and express my opinions or furnish
you with
information that the "talking heads" on TV or the "drive by media"
don't tell you.
Visit often, it will always be changing! Lately I
see a resemblance to what Castro did to Cuba taking place in this country and it
breaks my heart that we are letting this happen to my adopted country!!!
